Data Governance
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This page describes how Help With Violations (the "Operator", operated by Maurice N. Sargi in the United States) handles requests from governmental, law enforcement, regulatory, or other public authorities for the personal data or personal information of users. It supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to personal data we collect through the helpwithviolations.com website, our partner ad platforms (including Meta), and our internal lead-management systems.
Legality Review
When the Operator receives a request from a public authority for the personal data of a user, the Operator reviews the request before any disclosure to confirm that it is issued under valid legal authority, is directed at the Operator, names specific data with sufficient particularity, and is not overbroad on its face. If any of these criteria are not met, the Operator does not disclose data until the request is corrected or withdrawn.
Challenging Unlawful Requests
The Operator reserves the right to challenge any request from a public authority that, on review, appears to be unlawful, overbroad, not properly served, or inconsistent with applicable privacy law. The Operator may seek legal counsel before disclosing data and may file objections, motions to quash, or equivalent procedural challenges where appropriate.
Data Minimization
Where the Operator determines disclosure is required by valid legal process, the Operator discloses only the minimum personal data necessary to comply with the specific terms of the request. The Operator does not voluntarily disclose additional fields, related records, or data on other users beyond what the request specifically requires.
Documentation
The Operator maintains a written log of all received requests from public authorities, including: the date the request was received, the requesting authority, the legal basis cited, the scope of data requested, the Operator's response (disclose, partial disclose, challenge, or deny), the legal reasoning supporting that response, and the date of the response. Records are retained for at least seven years.
